FUCKING DELL

I will NEVER buy Dell again.

The primary reason that we went with Dell for Raederle's computer is because they were supposed to have such great support.

Bullshit!

When I talked with the saleman, I was offered support for five years.  I looked at the price (don't remember, but well over $500) and said, no, I can't afford that.  Give me good insurance for one year.  Most problems surface in one year.  I was assured that I now had such great coverage that even if we deliberately threw the computer out the window, it would be covered.

Bullshit!!

The first problem surfaced when we had difficulty with the internet connection.  We were told that we purchased only hardware covereage.  They couldn't help us with any software issues.

??????????????

I got around that eventually, by telling them that the modem didn't work, so I needed it replaced.  Heaven forbid!!! We don't want to do that!!!  So they kept having us test this and that until it worked.

Cool.

Now we have a printer problem.  While I was working on the plumbing, I missed turning off something, and water leaked onto the printer.  After drying things with paper towels, I put a lamp near it to try to dry the insides faster, and the lamp dislodged when I didn't notice (probably the cat) and leaned on it directly, melting a bit of a corner.  That doesn't seem to interfere with the operation, except that it just doesn't print quite right since then, and we *always* had difficulty with the paper feed.

So Raederle requested a new one.

She tried calling, and was told to use the internet support site.  After searching around, she found tech support.  After an hour they transferred her to printer support.  After another half hour they informed her that WE DON'T HAVE INSURANCE ON THE PRINTER!!!!!

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ONLY BOUGHT FROM THEM BECAUSE OF THEIR WONDERFUL CRAPPY SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
