I have spent the entire day trying to forfend Karen's eviction. How much have I talked about that? I "friend" wiped out her bank accounts, and wrecked her wheelchair van before Karen knew about the theft. Since the mortgage payments were on automatic and this same "friend" was getting the mail, the mortgagor wasn't getting the payments and Karen didn't know that until she was informed that the house had been sold.
The new owners (a company) would like her out now, please.
This woman is working a 40 hour week, and her back is so bad she can barely walk. She is officially disabled and gets around on a scooter. If *I* had to pack up and move my household, I couldn't do it in less than six months, without a lot of help; yet she was mandated to be out in six weeks. We haven't packed half of it yet.
I'm going to skip the details. Boring. But I've spent all day going to the Judgment Office, the City Marshal's, Neighborhood Legal, doctors' offices, etc.
So my cards aren't done.
You will get them! They may well be late, but I think you're going to like them anyway, even late. *heehee*
And I haven't posted the next segment of The First Day.
I won't make any more weekend posts. People just don't seem to have time to read on the weekend. If you missed it, be sure to read about our first villian from Friday; I'll post Dom's next segment tomorrow, and probably another short one with it.
There will be only a few more before Christmas, then I'll take a break for at least a week, while people do family things.
