About those New Year's resolutions; I'm on my way to controlling my diet. I've pretty much gotten step one into my consciousness - I'm not eating after 8:00 pm. As as of today I've sworn off sweets. Almost. I'm still allowing my favorite chocolate treat once a day. (I mix a tablespoon of Ghiardelli double chocolate cocoa powder into a teaspoon of melted butter.) But I'm trying to make sure that I eat an apple and a grapefruit every day, my homemade granola and a potato, and enough other stuff that I don't go looking for sweets.
I'm a little better already. I have (again) taken up writing in the mornings, and I'm feeling a little better - stronger, more awake and ambitious, less hip pain.
Hmmm ... I can't make a link to it work, but my next post has my granola recipe.
